Founded on 24 December 2015 by Niharika Konidela, Pink Elephant Pictures has emerged as one of Telugu entertainment’s most progressive production banners. From pioneering digital content before the OTT boom to delivering award-winning feature films, the banner’s 10-year journey reflects innovation, risk-taking, and content-driven cinema.

Niharika Konidela: The Vision Behind the Banner

An actress, producer, and entrepreneur, Niharika Konidela is a true trailblazer in Telugu entertainment. Recognizing the power of digital storytelling well before the OTT boom, she launched Telugu’s first web series, Muddapappu Avakai, in 2015. Under her leadership, Pink Elephant Pictures evolved from a digital pioneer into a powerhouse for youth-driven cinema, scaling from viral OTT projects to blockbuster feature films like Committee Kurrollu and RAAKAASAA. Her commitment to meaningful storytelling has earned widespread acclaim, winning her “Best Debut Producer” at both the SIIMA Awards 2025 and GAMA Awards (Dubai), while Committee Kurrollu achieved global recognition with a Best Debut Director nomination at IFFI 2025 in Goa. With a proven eye for launching new talent and her own acting career spanning films like Oka Manasu and Suryakantham, Niharika continues to boldly shape the future of Telugu cinema from the web to the silver screen.

Film Career

Niharika made her acting debut with Oka Manasu (2016). Her filmography includes Oru Nalla Naal Paathu Solren, Happy Wedding, Suryakantham, a cameo in Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, a cameo-producer role in Committee Kurrollu, and Madraskaaran.

Pioneering Digital Content & OTT Productions

Well before the OTT boom, Niharika launched Telugu’s first web series, Muddapappu Avakai, on 24 December 2015 under Pink Elephant Pictures. The series (5 episodes, now streaming on ZEE5) became a cultural phenomenon and laid the foundation for Telugu digital storytelling. She followed it up with Nanna Koochi (2018) – 8 episodes for ZEE5 – and Madhouse Nanna Koochi (2019) – 20 episodes for the Pink Elephant Pictures YouTube channel. Niharika acted in all three series, firmly establishing herself as a pioneer of Telugu digital content.

With the success of her YouTube originals, Niharika was approached by leading OTT platforms. These subsequent projects—which include Okka Chinna Family Story (2021), Hello World (2022), and Bench Life (2024)—positioned Pink Elephant Pictures as a youth-driven, content-focused production house in the OTT space.

Feature Film Breakthroughs & The Road Ahead

Niharika Konidela’s feature production debut, Committee Kurrollu , introduced 16 new actors and became a critical sensation, earning global recognition at IFFI Goa alongside “Best Debut Producer” wins at the SIIMA and GAMA Awards. Pink Elephant Pictures followed this milestone with the Summer 2026 blockbuster, RAAKAASAA, cementing a reputation for back-to-back theatrical triumphs. Now, the banner is scaling up with its most ambitious project yet: BHARI. Already generating massive buzz from its announcement, this high-budget sports drama promises a larger-than-life cinematic spectacle and the next bold chapter in the banner’s rapidly expanding legacy
